Policy Matters: New Customs Union.
The June 2009 issue of Policy Matters analyzes last week’s announcement that Russia will discontinue its World Trade Organization (WTO) negotiations in favor of launching a new Customs Union with Belarus and Kazakhstan, and subsequently take the unprecedented step of applying for WTO membership as a trading bloc.
