The British research company IRG (Interactive Research Group) unveiled the
results of their ranking project, called the "Top 100 Emerging Companies
of the Russian Consumer Market," commissioned by The Moscow Times,
The PBN Company, Banque Societe Generale, Deloitte & Touche and Altium Capital.
For the 'Top 100' the experts selected companies by evaluating a series of objective
economic factors. In particular, they examined: sales volumes and profits, the
level of production efficiency, the amount of investment in equipment and technology,
accordance with international standards, credit worthiness, brand recognition,
activism in increasing sales, etc. All the information about those nominated
was assembled from open sources.
Of the emerging companies in the Russian consumer market nominated were seven
wholesale distributors. One of those was Rolf Holding, the general distributor
of Mitsubishi Motors, the only automobile company that made it to the 'Top 100.'
